We are excited to announce that Zionna Hanson has made the decision to step down as CEO of Barbells for Boobs. Over the past ten years, Zionna has been a passionate proponent of proactively managing health through fitness. She has had an incredible impact on many, and will be missed.
What began as a humble fundraiser gave rise to a movement: the embodiment of Zionna’s passion to support her community and help those affected by breast cancer. A true trailblazer, Zionna will forever be part of Barbells for Boobs’ legacy. Her compassion and vision have positioned Barbells for Boobs for continued success in the years to come, and we are forever grateful.
Zionna remains strongly committed to our cause as Founder and a member of the Board. I know you will join us in thanking Zionna for all she has done and wish her well on her next adventure.
If you’re curious as to Zionna's why or what’s next you got to check out the @pardonmepod for the details.
With Zionna’s departure, the Board of Directors has appointed Stephanie Lindquist our new CEO. Stephanie joins us from Top Startup Talent, a Denver based tech recruiting firm, where she was the founder and CEO for 6 years. Stephanie has also worked as a COO at a MedTech startup, held many Executive Sales and Leadership roles, and consulted with several small to large businesses on operations and strategy. In addition to her business prowess, Stephanie has been actively involved in Barbells for Boobs for several years and is a breast cancer survivor.
We are thrilled to welcome Stephanie to the Barbells for Boobs family. You will be hearing more from Stephanie in the coming months as we continue to drive our organization’s mission forward.
Looking to the future, we will draw on the foundation built by our incredible team and supporters, and expand Barbells for Boobs impact. We will:
- Facilitate access to breast cancer screening and diagnostics;
- Provide education on exercise oncology and the value of fitness for Survivors;
- And create a community for those impacted by breast cancer to help them heal and thrive through exercise, recovery, and support.
As we begin this new chapter in our organization’s story, we do so with incredible gratitude for Zionna, Stephanie, and all of our fundraisers and supporters.
Thank you again to Zionna for trusting us to carry on your vision. And thank you to all of our supporters for your continued dedication. We promise to make you all proud!
