“Coach Johnna was so helpful in getting me moving, and inspired by her to try CrossFit – which I have been doing for a year now! She gave me a whole different outlook on fitness that I did not have before cancer. And she’s just amazing in every way! ”
My name is Aimee Majoros.
I have been a part of the Barbells for Boobs RAD program for a little over 1 year. I was diagnosed with Stage 1A ER+ PR+ HER2- breast cancer in 2019. I was feeling pretty lost when I joined RAD - I didn't know how to move on from cancer. I didn't know what to do physically in the gym and I was lost as to how to feel about the trauma of my diagnosis. And after I finished active treatment, we went into lockdown and that made it really hard to get back on track in any way.
BFB RAD is such a big part of my life.
It gave me something other than cancer to focus on - fitness - and a community of like-minded women to connect with. Right away, I felt so much less alone. I also regained, strength, mobility and range of motion through the RADWODs and the CrossFit gym I became a member of. Barbells for Boobs RAD is my family and I truly, truly love them. I am so grateful to be a RAD athlete.
