I spent the next year fighting for my life through 16 rounds of chemo, surgery, and 20 rounds of radiation.
Once I rang the bell and active treatment ended on January 20th, 2020, I watched most of the support I had fallen away and I was left to figure out my new normal all alone.
Barbells for Boobs stepped in and provided love, support, physical fitness, community, resources, and education.
Most importantly, they helped me navigate life after a devastating breast cancer diagnosis. RAD has become instrumental to my well-being. They’ve connected me with so many amazing women whom I now call my friends.
It is the first time in my life I have truly felt loved and accepted for being exactly who I am. Through their programs, and especially B student, they have taught me how to become an even better and stronger version of myself after cancer.
“My favorite part of Barbells for Boobs is belonging to a community of amazing, badass, and inspiring women who just get it whether they are a fellow survivor or a member of the support team. They have an understanding of what it means to walk through life impacted by a breast cancer diagnosis. There has been so much unwavering love and support from both other survivors and the entire team at Barbells for Boobs.”Amanda CarlsonRAD Athlete
