Season of RAD

Hello, my name is Ashley.

I was diagnosed with Stage 2 PR+ invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC) on April 1st, 2021. After two surgeries and sixteen rounds of chemo, I am officially cancer-free.

I do have quite a bit of additional treatment to go, including hormone therapy and radiation.

I joined the RAD program in July 2021.

I had heard of Barbells for Boobs before, but never really understood the mission until my introduction call with Z and Samantha. I remember their first comment was how beautiful I looked, and me being completely bald at the time, just wanting to cry.

Turns out RAD was everything I didn’t even know I needed.

My chats with Johnna and Keisha are filled with laughs, cries and encouragement. My new relationships with other RAD women fill my soul with joy.

It’s like I have this new family of hundreds of women, located all over the world, who understand what I’ve been through and what I will go through for the rest of my life. How freaking cool is that?

My favorite parts of Barbells for Boobs are the RADWODs, chats with the Coaches Keisha and Johnna, and the online community and connections I've made with other women.

I’m so thankful for Barbells for Boobs and my RAD family.

I look forward to many more years of workouts, workshops, and soon in person meet-ups!
