“I loved being around Sheila because she projected positivity and love and always focused on the good in those around her. Thank you Sheila for your light. We are incredibly grateful that you were so present in our lives.”

– Zionna Hanson, Founder and CEO

On Sunday, December 12th, our community lost one of its great ones.

You may not have known her name or seen her at any of our recent WODs, but Sheila Coleman Fry was a RAD Athlete through and through. Always positive, strong, and humble, Sheila fought through tremendous adversity, she focused on the good, and lived with tenacity, resilience, and boundless love and support for those she cared about most.

A founding member of the RAD Program, Sheila’s indomitable spirit is infused in everything we do.

First and foremost, she was a devoted single mom to her beautiful daughter Nickie. She was a “quiet rebel,” a loyal friend, and a fierce competitor in the box. Sheila always put her family first, and never wanted anything in return. Though kind to everyone around her, she’d always tell it like it is, and show up as a fierce “Mama Bear” to defend her cubs in times of need.

We are stronger because of you, we’ll always cherish our memories of you, your smile, your wisdom and your hugs. You will be missed.

Sunday, December 26th from 3-7 p.m

Celebration of life

Sheila’s celebration of life will be held at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center in Mission Viejo California. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Nickie’s GoFundMe page, to help pay for funeral expenses and to help Nickie get back on her feet after suffering this tremendous loss.
